Anyone had any experience (successful) setting one of these up? I've had a. of a time - mainly around assigning a static IP. It either won't recognize the static IP addy I've assigned it, or claims the unit isn't getting power (incorrect) or there's no Ethernet cable plugged in. I don't mind tinkering around anf trying to figure things out but this is ridiculous, especially for something that claims to be Mac and L8 ready out of the box.

Hi, I too had problems getting my ppc to recognise the mcmix, i mucked around setting a static i/p on both the mc mix and in network prefs, it kept coming up with an error, i/p already assigned, which it definitely wasn't. I gave up reset the mcmix to auto or using dhcp ( should be set to this out of the box), created a new location in network prefs called euphonix, set ethernet1 as the first in the list and set ethernet to configure using dhcp automatically, it then worked. The only change from when it came out of the box and i initially set it up was that i created a new location with ethernet first in the list. Have done the same thing on another ppc and an 8core and they worked straight away.

Incidentally i have got the mcmix to work with logic 7.2.3 and also logic 6.4.3, not as advanced, but gives faders, pans,solo and mutes correctly. Aug 29, 2008 4:33 AM. Well, after trashing various Logic preferences (for both Logic 7.2.3 and 8.0.2), reinstalling the Euphonix update twice, updating the Euphonix firmware and reinstalling Logic 7.2.3, etc., guess what? But then, while working in Logic 8.0.2 (which was still giving me problem) instead of my testing out just fader automation (which was glitching all over the place) I decided to automate a mute. Everything worked perfectly from that moment on! Well, almost perfectly.

I believe there's a bug in the Euphonix software, and some other things don't quite work as expected. But at least I'm up and running now, and I can automate my faders (which is all I really care about anyway).
