Hello Norman, thank you for your msg. Well thought something like it - must have used Garys sceneries only during the other seasons but I am using ORBX EUENG now and it looked a bit funny without snow.
Best regards, Guenther hello there has been a number of comments/complaints on the ORBX forum with regards to their 5th season, they call it 'hard winter', it is what they have in their texture set and its very unlike England but they refuse to change it. It only happens in the month of January, so you wont see it for another 11 months now. Its worth noting that the other seasons textures do change to snow if you have a real weather engine running and it snows. It didnt look right to me so i used to change my FSX date to Febuary. Hello, I read this with interest as I think the winter textures on the Xtreme series of airports look superb all year round.

However, the only thing I think “spoils” it for me is that the trees and vegetation surrounding the perimeter of each airport (and which appear to be in the Xtreme area of coverage) are green and full of leaves at this time of year. LGW therefore looked very odd just now (early February) with all the trees in their full summer greenery. Is there any way to adjust those tree settings to winter? Cheers, Ken Logged.
